Social Responsibility

Centuria understands that it is increasingly important for businesses, managers, shareholders, investors and employees to be aware that economic growth is linked to social and environmental well-being. As such, Centuria is committed, to fostering positive relationships with the society in which we operate and to make a positive contribution to the community.

Employee Volunteering Program

In 2011 we launched our Employee Volunteering Program when we partnered with St Lucy’s School in Wahroonga. As part of our Employee Volunteering Program, we aim to provide volunteering opportunities for staff to enhance skills and raise awareness of the challenges faced by charities and community organisations.

Through our volunteering activities we also hope to increase the profiles of the organisations we work with and help them provide an increased service to the community.

Fundraising

St Lucy’s School

St Lucy’s School is a primary school for students with disabilities. It provides excellence in education that empowers students with the values, knowledge, attitudes and skills to flourish and participate fully in society. Centuria have supported St Lucy’s School since 2011.

Throughout the year, the Centuria team regularly participated in activities to support the school. The flagship event is our annual trivia night, and we thank all our partners and volunteers who support the cause.

Bushfire support

Centuria showed their support to the incredible work by Foodbank in the 2019/20 Bushfire Crisis. With overwhelming levels of food and water supplies being donated to the Foodbank NSW & ACT warehouse, Centuria’s Industrial REIT team donated one of our commercial premises at 75 Owen Street, Glendenning NSW – just up the road from their existing warehouse – to assist with the stock overflow for this amazing charity!

Additionally, staff were invited to participate in a Wear Jeans to Work day and make a donation to the RFS. Centuria also made a donation to the RFS.

Other activities

The Centuria team also raises funds across a number of charity days, including Jeans for Genes, Daffodil Day and Tour De PIF, in aid of the Property Industry Foundation.
