Employee Volunteering Program

As part of our Employee Volunteering Program, we aim to provide volunteering opportunities for staff to enhance skills and raise awareness of the challenges faced by charities and community organisations.

Through our volunteering activities we also hope to increase the profiles of the organisations we work with and help them provide an increased service to the community.

Record fundraising for St Lucy’s School

St Lucy’s School is a primary school for students with disabilities. It provides excellence in education that empowers students with the values, knowledge, attitudes and skills to flourish and participate fully in society. Centuria have supported St. Lucy’s School since 2012.

Throughout the year, the Centuria team regularly participated in activities to support the school.

The flagship event is our annual trivia night, and this year we exceeded expectations with more than 200 people attending and $80,000 raised – our most successful fundraising to date.

Monies raised will go to support the school’s Psychological Support Program, which provides cognitive and educational support for incoming and existing students.

We thank all our partners and volunteers who supported the cause and, in particular our thanks to KPMG who kindly donated their function space for the event.

Other activities

In FY17, Centuria also supported St Edmund’s College in Wahroonga, taking out a “Culinary Sponsorship” of $10,000 to support the refurbishment of its food technology room. The college is a secondary school for children with intellectual disabilities, and aims to enrich the lives of teenagers with disabilities, helping them become active members of an integrated society.

The Centuria team also raised funds across a number of charity days, including Jeans for Genes, Daffodil Day and Tour De PIF, in aid of the Property Industry Foundation.
