Centuria scores with sponsorship of Western Sydney Wanderers

In a first for us, Centuria Capital Group has become a co-major sponsor of the professional soccer club, the Western Sydney Wanderers (WSW). The sponsorship covers the 2018-19 season.

The WSW has achieved notable success on the world football stage but it is their efforts across the entire community – from the grassroots up – that appealed to us as an organisation. Community is an integral focus of the club, with targeted football, education and social programs positioned to make a genuine difference in the Western Sydney region.

We will be helping the club to champion youth development and to encourage and mentor youth in sport while supporting gender diversity.

As a group, Centuria has a corporate philosophy of supporting local communities. This sponsorship provides a great platform for us to extend our community support in one of the country’s fastest-growing precincts, Western Sydney.

As part of the sponsorship deal, Centuria branding will feature on the front of the Wanderers’ A-League Home Jersey, the sleeve of the Wanderers Westfield W (Women’s) League jersey and on the back of the shirt for the Wanderers Foxtel Y (Youth) League and Academy jerseys for the 2018-19 season.

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas says the partnership is a milestone for the club. “Centuria is a fantastic partner and one that adds significant weight to our corporate family,” Tsatsimas says. “Centuria have committed to not only supporting this club in a corporate capacity, but are also dedicated to aligning with a number of joint CSR initiatives, continuing their role as a socially conscious member of the Western Sydney community.”

Centuria understands that it is increasingly important for businesses, managers, shareholders, investors and employees to be aware that economic growth is linked to social and environmental well-being. As such, Centuria is committed to fostering positive relationships within the society in which they operate and to make a positive contribution to the community.

Centuria Capital Group Chairman Garry Charny says the partnership stretching across the Wanderers women and youth programs is an important element. “The Wanderers youth and women’s programs are second to none,” he says. “We are particularly proud to support the Wanderers Westfield W-League team.”
