Balanced funds invest in a range of asset classes and/or geographic regions, which are typically 30-50% defensive assets and 50-70% growth assets with the goal of both income and capital appreciation. The funds assets can include (but not limited to) cash, bonds, stocks, property and infrastructure securities.
