Diversified balanced funds

Balanced funds invest in a range of asset classes and/or geographic regions, which are typically 30-50% defensive assets and 50-70% growth assets with the goal of both income and capital appreciation. The funds assets can include (but not limited to) cash, bonds, stocks, property and infrastructure securities.

Russell Investments Balanced Fund	4 – Medium	To provide returns over the medium to long term, with moderate to high volatility, consistent with a diversified mix of predominantly growth-oriented assets and some defensive assets.	The fund typically invests in a diversified portfolio mix with exposure to growth investments of around 70% and defensive investments of around 30%. Derivatives may be used to implement investment strategies.
MLC Wholesale Horizon 4 Balanced Portfolio	5 – Medium to High	Aims to outperform the benchmark, before fees, over 4 year periods.	MLC actively looks for opportunities to provide better returns, or less risk, than those generated by the benchmark asset allocation and to manage the Trust’s exposure to the risks of investing in markets. Pendal Sustainable Balanced Fund	4 – Medium	The fund aims to provide a return (before fees and expenses) that exceeds the fund’s benchmark over the medium to long term.	This fund is designed for investors who want the potential for long term capital growth and income, diversification across a broad range of asset classes and exposure to companies and issuers (within the fund’s Australian and international shares and Australian and international fixed interest allocation) that demonstrate leading environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) and ethical practices while avoiding exposure to companies and issuers with material involvement in activities we consider to negatively impact the environment or society and are prepared to accept some variability of returns.
