and entering Centuria New Zealand.
Centuria understands health and wellbeing has a significant impact on our colleagues and customers alike and to address the rising prevalence of mental health impacts, we provide regular workshops across our teams and through tenant experiences across Australia.
These initiatives are part of our sustainability framework to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our team and customers.
In early September 2025, Centuria hosted Gotcha4Life’s Gus Worland who presented a mental fitness workshop to c.320 Australian colleagues. Gus is dedicated to reducing suicides by helping people build their mental fitness, resilience, and social connections. His presentation focused on cultivating three evidence-based mental health protective factors: emotional adaptability, social connectedness, and help-seeking.
The workshop coincided with R U OK? Day, an Australian public health promotion aimed at suicide prevention. The day encourages people to have meaningful conversations to support each other’s wellbeing and mental health, especially among those who may be struggling with certain burdens.
R U OK? Day was also recognised across Centuria’s office portfolio with various tenant engagement events, including lobby flower carts, complimentary KitKats with affirmation cards to help spark meaningful conversations, gift bags with sweets and resources to drive connection among colleagues, and complimentary hot beverage vouchers for two to help encourage catch-ups in building lobby cafes.
These initiatives were implemented across 21 office buildings throughout Australia. The Tenant Experience Team also used its custom-made Orbit Tenant App to provide additional R U OK? Day awareness resource all office buildings registered to the online platform.
John McBain, Centuria Joint CEO said, “Centuria has an ongoing mental health program comprising of regular workshops, online literature and resources, and app-based medical and health services. Jason Huljich and I founded this business almost 30 years ago and we still are central to each new hire. We do this because we personally care about our team. Each Centurian is highly valued and our mental health initiatives are designed to support each team member beyond a mere professional scope.”
