Centuria Port Pirie is a neighbourhood shopping centre constructed in 1980 and extensively refurbished in 2007. It was acquired in 2017 and since acquisition has undergone refurbishment works to modernise the overall presentation of the centre and enhance its functionality and appearance. The centre is designed around an internal mall with its main entrance fronting the car park. The centre is configured in a “U” shape design with specialties internally facing and bound by the majors which are anchored at opposites ends of the building.
There is dual access provided by the entrances at either side of the mall. The centre is setback from Grey Terrace by the onsite car parking for more than 500 cars. The main tenancies occupied by Coles and Kmart feature wide frontages to the mall and have associated truck loading facilities at the rear. The standalone building on the northwest corner of the site houses the Coles Express fuel station.
The property is located in Port Pirie, a regional town with a population of about 15,000 being 230 kilometres north of Adelaide. The centre is located about 1.5 kilometres south of the traditional town centre, in close proximity to the residential areas of the town.
