David Giffin

David Giffin

CEO, Centuria Bass

David Giffin is Centuria Bass Credit Chief Executive Officer and part of Centuria Capital Group’s Senior Executive Committee. With more than 20 years of experience in private lending markets, David leads a $2.3 billion1 real estate finance portfolio focused on mid-market, first-lien loans, predominantly financing development projects, bridging finance, and residential stock.

David is adept at capital raising, having secured more than $5 billion in debt and equity in previous financial services roles and managed loan books exceeding $1 billion. In 2018, he co-founded and managed Taurus Motor Finance, raising more than $1 billion of capital over five years. Taurus was divested to a major shareholder in late 2023.

Prior to founding Taurus, David held senior positions with numerous financial services organisations, including Grant Samuel (Capital Advisory) and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

David holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
