St Lucy’s says happy anniversary with a special gift

Students from St Lucy’s School created a special commemorative artwork to celebrate Centuria’s 20th anniversary, which was presented to team members at a recent volunteer day last month.

St Lucy’s School is a Sydney-based primary school for students with disabilities. It provides excellence in education that empowers the students with the values, knowledge, attitudes and skills to flourish and participate fully in society. The original artwork was created by students at the school.

Centuria has a long and proud history of supporting the school – from numerous volunteer days with dozens of our team members participating in each year, to our fundraising efforts. This year our annual Trivia Night raised more than $80,000 and, in the past seven years, we have raised more than $250,000 for this worthy establishment.

The gift is a great demonstration of the difference the school makes on not only students’ lives, but also the positive impact it has for Centuria volunteers as well.

It costs around $49,000 a year to provide an education to a child at St Lucy’s. The school is financed in large part by state and federal funding but has a large shortfall.  If you’d like to make a donation, go to: www.givenow.com.au/stlucys
